~In this video we discuss what anxiety is and how we can deal with it and one of the most common ways to deal with anxiety (that I’m aware of) is to do ‘mental simulations’, so I discuss that in the above video as well.
Anxiety is sort of a stress that comes from thinking about a future event or having negative thoughts about an event that’s going to happen in the future. It could be one minute later, one month later, or one year later, or 10 years later.
If thinking about it stresses you out, then using ‘mental simulation’ you can remove the stressful component of that thought pattern… Continue reading “Eliminate Anxiety Using ‘Mental Simulations’ | Ataraxia Series 08 | Know How”
In this video we discuss about what I call ‘The Biological Reality Of Stress’.
I’ll try to explain it here as well in a different sort of format so that the message I wish to deliver gets across.
So it’s really simple, when our body is really really relaxed like when we are deep in our sleep, our body’s repair mechanism and growth mechanism boost and we feel really really refreshed after that, and active and motivated and aware and so on… Continue reading “What the heck is Stress anyway?| Ataraxia Series 07 | Understanding the Biological Reality of Stress”
The Following is an excerpt from an article I wrote sometime ago, this will serve as an appropriate description for this video…
ii) Use more Positive Statements & Vocabulary:-
Positive words are associated with positive feelings, and similarly, negative words are associated with negative feelings, so use positive words like ‘remember’ instead of ‘forgot’ , like ‘amazing’ instead of just ‘fine’, the more positive your word is the more positive (& healthier) you will feel. So when you are alone and you have time to think and ponder, be sure to construct your ‘optimistic statements’ by thinking of what you could use while conversing with other people.
Some Examples:- … Continue reading “Positive Vocabulary | Ataraxia Series 06 | Know How to Be Positive Using Positive Vocabulary”

In this video we will be discussing about a ‘mental technique’ called Revision.
By using this technique we can literally rewrite a sad, upsetting, depressing, stressful or unpleasant event from our memory such that it wouldn’t bother us anymore. And because it won’t bother us, we could either easily stop paying attention to it, or if it’s something that needs critical analysis, then we will be more relaxed and conscious to do so.
Most of the information present in the video will not be discussed here (in the description) and the table of content is mentioned in the initial seconds of the video. So the description has some different part of the information that may be of help apart from that presented in the video… Continue reading “Revision | Ataraxia Series 04 | Know How to Rewrite a Memory of a Stressful Event using ‘Revision’”

~In this video, we will be discussing about a natural stress relief technique. The technique works on the concept of stimulating the pressure points by gently massaging or rubbing them, which causes them to release tension and positive chemicals in the body allowing it, i.e our body, and our mind, to relax.
The ‘technique’ or activity is called ‘Wudu’ (meaning ‘purity’ & ‘cleanliness’). It is extracted from the Islamic tradition in which Muslims would perform wudu before performing their prayers… Continue reading “Natural Stress Relief | Ataraxia Series #02 | Stimulating Pressure Points For Natural Stress Relief”
